Courses

The courses that we provide fit into the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages. At the end of the course each participant receives a certificate which indicates the level they have reached, enabling participants to start on another course at the appropriate level if they need or wish to do so.
There are six levels:

  1. A Basic User
    1. A1 Breakthrough
    2. A2 Waystage
  2. B Independent User
    1. B1 Threshold
    2. B2 Vantage
  3. C Proficient User
    1. C1 Effective Operational Proficiency
    2. C2 Mastery

For each of the levels, a number of competencies (also called "Can-do"-statements) have been drawn up for

  1. Comprehension
    1. Listening
    2. Reading
  2. Speaking
    1. Spoken Interaction
    2. Spoken Reproduction
  3. Writing

“Apart from the language we also convey something of a country’s culture and atmosphere during the course. We provide participants with an experience.” All courses are made to measure. Talenpalet aims for courses to place during as short a period of time as possible. This mean the course comes to an end as and when the predetermined level or objective has been reached. Naturally an estimate of the time needed is made beforehand, on the basis of the initial interview. If a participant already has some previous knowledge of the relevant language a reliable entry test is taken and a short conversation in the target language takes place during the initial assessment.

Talenpalet offers a variety of courses, including:
-Standard Beginners’ Courses A1/A2
- Standard Advanced Courses for the levels B1/B2/C1
- Courses for receptionists/ secretaries
- Courses for sales personnel
- Courses for presentations at Trade Fairs
- Courses for Executives
- Courses for the Transport Sector
- Courses for Ex-patriots
